Hi Vagabond, unfortunately not - we have care duties ( family ) and at the moment this keeps us house bound. Still lots of good pics to look at :-)
Best wishes

My first visit of 2015. No `moat` this time, quite a lot of snow, but nothing like the rainfall of 2014, and not half as much snow. Still time though... Visitors to these forums, in particular those of you who have ever driven through the village of Harbottle might like to know that the road into the village has been re-surfaced, so no need to swerve around all the bumps and potholes on your approach. In addition, the road through the village has also been re-surfaced, so a much smoother drive through, without all the bumping up and down in your seat, all the jumping, jarring, rattling and rolling, etc - and that`s just the cars, how my bones used to ache every time I drove through the place. I should say that I forgot to change the batteries in my camera, so I wasn`t able to take any pictures; it was only when I got back in the car that I found some spare batteries. I was too lazy (and too cold) to get out of the car again, so the above pictures were taken from inside the car, in the car park, with the drivers` window wound down.

There are lots of pictures taken at the castle, but very few on the way up, which can be as dramatic as anything shot in the grounds. Everyone makes a beeline for the ruins, oblivious to anything else. This image was taken yesterday, February 20th, a bitterly cold day with a biting wind; my batteries had died, I had to rub them in the palms of my hands and re-insert them in the camera, then shoot the picture sharpish like before they died on me again. Several times I had to do this over several [different] shots before the batteries finally gave up on me, or more accurately, before I gave up on them!

Back at Harbottle again, March 13th, very cold (again) and a leaden sky, on the highest point looking down toward the car park. Much better image viewed full screen Log in required to view full screen.
