A lovely small walk which must be the number one walk in Ingram Valley during the summer months. The walk starts at the farm at Hartside and basically is a straight walk along the road passing through Linhope then onto a well defined track all the way to the spout. And return more or less the same route. A very popular spot for a pick nick especially during the school holidays. Straight there and back again is about 3 miles. Looking from the side of Hartside looking towards Cunyan Crag on Dunmoor Hill Long Crag Looking towards Hartside Hill & Alnhammoor First sight of Linhope in front of Ritto Hill Linhope The burn On the track passing Ritto Hill (on the left) The views start to open up a bit showing Great Standrop on Standrop Rigg which is on the lower section of Hedgehope Hill Looking down towards where the spout is. There is a route straight down from here but today I am going a bit further. The Linhope Burn showing some damage from the heavy rain we had. Sheepfold My route today is to follow the burn to the spout .Looking back along the burn At the top of the spout Linhope Burn What we came to see Linhope Spout. Looks much moor impressive when we have had a lot of rain. Looking down at the pool Good spot for coffee, during the school holidays it is very busy here.Looking back Looking back Just climbed up looking back at the path The path back On the road back looking to my right at what I believe is Shank Burn Last look back
