Unfortunately I must of upset the weather gods for this walk , because from the moment we set off to the moment we got back in the car , the rain never stopped , we where both totally soaked to the skin. The plan was to park up at the small car park at the foot of Green Humbleton , then set off up the Pennine way , past the Stob stones along and over White law along Steer rig and up to Black Hag , we (cheviot stroller ) had discussed the possibility of going to the Schil but due to the miserable weather and the fact that you couldn’t see anything we decided to swallow our pride and head back down again staying on the “low” level Pennine way back passing and briefly stopping at Old Halterburnhead for lunch , which had to be eaten whilst water run down our necks , not really a pleasant thing to do , after a while we gave up on trying to eat and pressed on back to the car . Not one of more memorable walks and done much faster than what was planned purely because it bucketed down all the way round. Lessons learnt from this trip, always keep a towel and chance of cloths in the car. And don’t believe the weather forecasters …………….They make mistakes As per norm a few photos, not partially good as I couldn’t keep the camera dry Enjoy Not a great deal to say it was wet and grey typical summers day .
