The oldest part of this Grade 1 Listed church is 12th century with some evidence of Anglo-Saxon. Over the centuries the church has been restored several times after sustaining damage from various conflicts and through severe weather. When I visited on April 1st there was a biting wind and sleet mixed up with hail-stones - it was so cold, the wind went right through me! I was chilled to the bone and glad to get back into the car. I managed a couple of shots of the exterior and a half dozen or so inside, mainly of the windows, and was back in the car within a half hour, frozen to the marrow! It`s a lovely old church, in idyllic surroundings, set back from the main road at the end of a narrow lane, about 1/4 of a mile long. Well worth a visit, just wish I`d picked a nicer day, then I could have spent more time exploring. I am getting old, there was a time when a `bit of wind` wouldn`t have bothered me! Not one of my best pictures, but given the conditions ... `nough said!
