12 months since I was on Beanley Moor, so went there today, difficult getting across the moor on account of all the fern, and still quite boggy in places. A few cranberries mixed in with the heather, peacock and small copper buterflies in profusion, not sure why as the thistles were all dead, must be feeding on something, don`t know what, cannot be the heather. *No millstones today, searched, but in vain! 23/08/13 23/08/13 23/08/13 *Millstones were hewn out of the crags on Beanley Moor, remnants can be found scattered across the moor, mostly regects but whole (complete) stones have been found.

23/08/13 23/08/13 Looking across the moor toward Eglingham, in the distance, a row of wind turbines, counted 28 of them, all in a line, east to west along the horizon. Hmmm! wasn`t any 12 months ago, they`re everywhere! 23/08/13
